William Judson Creek, affectionately known as Jud, passed away on December 5, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 1, 1952, in Troy, Alabama, Jud grew up in a nurturing environment that paved the way for his future endeavors. In remembrance of Jud's life and legacy, a memorial service will be held at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at noon. This gathering will honor the vibrant spirit of a man who was deeply cherished by his family and community.
Jud dedicated over 20 years of his professional life to Wiregrass Construction, where he made significant contributions as the trucking foreman. Additionally, he proudly owned a trucking company for several years, showcasing his commitment to hard work and service in the trucking industry. His approach to work reflected his character—steadfast, reliable, and committed to excellence.
A proud graduate of Charles Henderson High School, Jud developed lifelong bonds during his formative years, particularly with his sweetheart, Judy. Their love story blossomed into a union that would last for 50 cherished years. Together, they built a family that was the center of Jud’s universe. He was a dedicated father to his daughters, Tandy Thaggard (Randal) and Rhonda Tyner, and took great pride in his role as a grandfather to seven grandchildren and great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren; and he leaves behind his 2 grandpups, Tiny and Tippy. His family was the center of his joy, the ones he held closest to his heart. He loved them deeply, and in his final moments, his words were filled with devotion: ‘Tell everyone I love them.’”
Jud's warmth extended beyond immediate family, as he treasured his relationships with several nieces and nephews. Known for his passion for cooking, he delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones, creating countless memories around the dining table.
Jud is survived by his daughters and their families, who will continue to carry forward the love and values instilled in them by their father. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy R. Creek; his parents, Gloria and Joseph Creek; and his brother, Jon Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Montgomery Cancer Center. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Creek family.
