Uldis Martin Liepins, affectionately known as "Al," passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Germany on December 6, 1948, Al's journey through life was marked by a steadfast dedication to service, family, and craftsmanship.

His early years were shaped by a strong sense of duty, leading him to serve valiantly in the United States Army. Upon completing his military service, Al continued to serve his community through a fulfilling career in civil service as a fireman. His bravery and commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on the lives of those he encountered. Al's love for woodworking blossomed from a young age. It was a passion that he nurtured throughout his life, resulting in the creation of beautiful, handcrafted furniture that will be cherished by his family for generations to come. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft were evident in every piece he made, reflecting not only his skills but also his love for those he gifted them to.

In addition to his many talents, Al learned the art of beekeeping from his father, establishing a small business known as "Al's Bees." Through this endeavor, he shared the sweet rewards of his labor with friends and family, creating lasting memories that will forever be sweetened by the flavor of honey.

Al is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Catherine Liepins, along with his cherished sons, Kenneth Tracy Liepins and Christopher Martin Liepins. He will also be missed dearly by his four stepchildren: Jane Rader, Thomas Bundy, Elaine Ivey, and Robert Bundy. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ernest and Milda Liepins, who instilled in him the values that defined his character and guided his heart.
