Robert Todd Missildine, a beloved partner, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on December 15, 1963, and he made the most important decision of his life as a teenager. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Macedonia Church of Christ.
Todd was the kind of man who rarely met a stranger. He found a lot of joy in trying out small hole-in-the-wall type restaurants when traveling. While he was known by his close friends to be a foodie, Todd enjoyed connecting and learning the stories of those small business owners just as much if not more than he enjoyed the food. He had a knack, much like his father, Robin, for working with his hands. Todd owned and operated a construction company for many years. During that time in his life, he was known for having a big heart and helping others. Todd’s skills for operating heavy equipment, his business savvy and ability to quickly connect with people allowed him to serve others numerous times as a debris management specialist during storm cleanup jobs across the country.
He liked spending time outdoors, tinkering with vehicles, swimming, watching college football, being the “official” taste-tester of home cooked meals and taking road trips to Kansas and the beach. Todd’s favorite way to spend his time in his later years was with his grandchildren. He bragged on them every chance he got.
Loving survivors include his life partner, Donna Chancey; daughter, Dakota Johnson (Tyler); son, Austin Missildine (Heaven); bonus sons, Jeffrey Nelson (Ashley), Jackson Nelson; grandchildren, Monroe Johnson, McCrae Johnson, Jackie Ray Missildine, Bayleigh Wooten, Madison Nelson, Evan Nelson; mother, Carolyn Missildine; sister, Shannon Williams; brother, Timothy Missildine and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dallas Colt Missildine; bonus daughter, Jennifer Leigh Nelson; his father, Robert Monroe "Robin" Missildine; grandparents, James Monroe & Anna Jane Missildine, Clarence Anderson Gibson, Bessie Lee Andrews and many aunts, uncles, cousins & lifelong friends.
