Robert Glenn Bracewell, 68, passed away on April 11, 2026. A native of Troy, Alabama, Robert was a man of deep faith, dedication, and love for his family and community. Funeral services will be Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Troy with visitation one hour prior in the parlor. Rev. Ross Lankford officiating. Visitation will also be from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Green Hills Funeral Home.
He was a graduate of Charles Henderson High School, Troy State University, and Mid-American Theological Seminary. While attending Troy State University, he was a proud member of the Sound of the South marching band, an experience he cherished and that reflected his school spirit and love of music.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Mims Bracewell; his daughter, Amanda Gallatin (Brandon), and their children, Scout and Pepper; his son, Matt Bracewell (Andrea), and their daughter, Mabel; and his step-daughter, Beth Gibson, and her sons, Joey, Jack, and John.
He is also survived by his parents, Glenn and Joyce Bracewell; his sister, Beth Bracewell Rose (Chris), and their children; and his brother, Al Bracewell (Christine), along with their children and grandchildren.
Robert will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his devotion to his family, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Troy in honor of Robert. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bracewell family.
