Rhonda Johnson Miley

August 15, 1961 — February 3, 2025

Goshen

Rhonda Johnson Miley, loving mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025. Graveside services will be at 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Providence Cemetery in Glenwood.

“Ms. Smiley”, as she was known by her students, spent over 20 years teaching reading at Goshen Elementary School and will be remembered fondly by her students. She loved any animal and was always on the watch for any “stray” she could give a home. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and traveling the world with Monique Crawley. Rhonda could never choose her favorite title—beloved wife of the Goshen Volunteer Fire Chief or Mimi! She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by her family and friends.

Loving survivors include her daughters, Peyton Taylor (Dusty) and Kelly Downing (Jeremy Kyle); god-daughter, Celiese Swanzy McDougald (Clay); grandchildren, Miley Stewart (Nick), Ella-Kate Tomlin, Ana-Jaymes Tomlin, Alayna Downing,  Charli McDougald, Mae-Ellen Downing, Gavin Sanders, Ellie Sanders; her fiance’, Jeff Mobley; brother, Mickey Johnson (Diane); her partner-in-crime, Missy Bryan; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 40 years, Mark Miley; her father, Claude E. Johnson; and mother, Sammie Killingsworth.

The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Miley family.
