Polly West Ash

Polly West Ash, 94, passed away on September 7, 2026.  She lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faithful service to her church and community, and the quiet gifts she shared with those around her. She was a longtime employee of Troy Bank & Trust, where she was known for her steady presence and dedication. Outside of her work, she found joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She loved gardening and took special pleasure in the flowers in her yard, creating beauty that reflected her caring spirit.

Polly was also an excellent seamstress, a gift that spoke to her patience, skill, and creativity. She enjoyed reading and remained involved at First Presbyterian Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. These interests and commitments helped shape a life that was both graceful and grounded, full of purpose and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ash; her daughter, Sue Ash; her father, Louie West; her mother, Sue West; and her sisters, Jean Williams and Anne Tunney.

Polly’s memory will be cherished by those who survive her, including her son, Jeff Ash and his wife, Sherri. She also leaves behind her grandsons, Fletcher Ash, and Sam Ash (Madelyn), as well as her great-granddaughter, Alice. The love of her family stands as a lasting tribute to the care and devotion she gave throughout her life, and her presence will remain close in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior.  

Polly West Ash will be remembered with love for her faithful heart, her gentle talents, and the beauty she brought into the lives of others.  The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ash family.
