Monica June Horne

Monica June Horne, born on May 29, 1967, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025.A graveside service will be held in her memory on December 12, 2025, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery in Troy, Alabama. The service will start at 2:00 PM.

Monica graduated from Troy University and carried with her a carefree spirit throughout her life. Monica enjoyed life to the fullest, always finding joy in simple pleasures. She had a deep love for cats and cherished her nieces and their children.

She is survived by her brother, Darryl Horne, and his wife, Dawn; her sister, Sondra Whatley; her devoted caretakers, Jeremy Richards and Connie McAfee; as well as several nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and June Horne.
