Mary Amanda McLendon Ming, age 90, of Troy, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Knick officiating. Burial will follow at the Banks Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ming was an original employee of Pike Manor Nursing Home for 32 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ollie McLendon; her husband, Isaac Ming and son-in-law, Braxton Griffin; her brothers, Howard, Rex, Robert and Charles McLendon; and her sister, Lucy Long. She is survived by her daughters, Mary F. Tate (Jimmie), Lucy Griffin, Sandra Mull (Ted), Lisa Ming (Robert Dunn); sister-in-law, Doris McLendon; grandchildren, Lamar Tate, Jeff Tate (Ashley), Wendy Hughes (Gary), Alison Sanders (Scott); great grandchildren, Luke Tate, Seth Tate, Joel Tate, Morgan Olivia Sanders, Brady Sanders and several nieces and nephews.
