Linda Meadows

October 3, 1947 — January 21, 2024

Troy

Linda Brown Meadows, beloved mother and grandmother, affectionately known as “Nunu,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024.  Private family graveside services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her sons, Brent Meadows and Brian Meadows; her grandsons, Maddox Meadows, Jacob Meadows, and John Meadows and longtime friends, Jim Tustin and William Johnston.

Linda loved her children, her grandchildren, her close friends, and enjoyed sitting and drinking coffee at her kitchen table, rocking on the back porch, and reading a good book. She and Edwin spent many days and nights at ballfields, watching their sons and their grandchildren play ball. Many hours were spent at NuNu and Paw Paw’s house riding golf carts, starting fires, feeding critters, playing games and having fun. There were only two rules at Nunu’s: You don’t get sick, and you don’t get hurt. Everyone who knew Linda knew exactly what she was thinking, exactly where they stood, and if it came up it came out.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Meadows; her parents, Elmo & Grace Brown; and son, Todd Ansley Meadows.  Loving survivors include her sons, Brent Meadows (Hope), Brian Meadows (Jenny); grandchildren, Katherine Mackenzie “KatieMac” Meadows, Maddox Meadows, Jacob Meadows, John Meadows, Sarah Meadows, Nicole Meadows; and “adopted daughter,” Jacqueline Meeks.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for their care and concern during this time.

The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Meadows family.
