Julius Edge Walters, Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather, was called home by God on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 62. Julius was a man of quiet strength, known for his hard work, deep devotion to his family, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, his Savior. He lived a life of integrity and purpose, always putting others before himself. Throughout his journey, he remained grounded in faith and determined to be present for his loved ones. Trusting in God’s plan, he met each day with courage, hope, and love.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rita Walters; his children, Julius Edge “Trey” Walters III and Haley Walters Jackson (Jarred); and grandchildren, Margaret Walters, Ellis Jackson, Elinor Walters, and Thomas Jackson. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Collins Edge Jackson; his father, Julius E. “Pete” Walters, Sr.; and his mother, Hazel Walters Anderson.
Julius leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, love, and quiet devotion. His life was a testimony to the strength of character, the power of faith, and the deep joy found in loving others well. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A graveside service honoring Julius’ life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Hayes officiating.
