Joy June Hays

Joy June Wilson Hays, age 89, formerly of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, after an extended illness.  A private family service will be held later.  Joy never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone.  She was a dedicated military wife to her beloved husband, Bill.  She enjoyed  raising flowers and was a member of the Rose Society for several years and won many prizes for her roses and flower arrangements.  A loving mother, Joy was involved in Girl Scouts and supported her daughter in every activity.  As a choir director and Sunday School teacher, she was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord and worked for Him.

Loving survivors include her devoted husband of 70 years, William H. Hays; daughter and son-in-law, Sallie & Charlie Johnson; four grandsons, Danny, Chad, Grant, Lucas; five great grandchildren; and her sister, Carol Stoecker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola & Gi’ Netta Wilson.
