Johnny Marion Ziglar

Johnny Marion Ziglar passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the age of 82.  A graveside service will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with visitation one hour prior at Green Hills Funeral Home. 

Johnny worked for over 40 years as railroad engineer and loved to hunt and fish in his spare time.  In days gone by, he always had a joke up his sleeve and was friendly to everyone he met.   Each spring, he would plant a garden and work through the summer harvesting vegetables. After working in the garden, Johnny enjoyed a cold beer with one of his favorite pups, Dirt Road.  He was famous around town for his scuppernong wine which he made from his own vineyard.  He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Loving survivors include his children, Kevin Ziglar and Shannon Ziglar (Darrell); as well as Demon and Tater.  He was preceded in death by Rhonda Griswold; his parents, Jany & Grady Ziglar; sister, Ann Ziglar Warren; and brother, Randolph Ziglar.
