Jefferson Ross Faircloth

J. Ross Faircloth, a resident of Luverne, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, 2026 at home. He was 75. Ross was born in Clayton, AL to Jeff and Alean Reeves Faircloth. He lived most of his life in Abbeville, AL and graduated from Abbeville High School in 1969. Ross worked as a Production Planning Manager and Logistics Manager at several manufacturing companies. He loved to play golf, watch Alabama Football, and nap with his beloved dog Peanut.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Faircloth; son, Chad Faircloth; grandson, Chase Faircloth and nephew, Eddie Geeslin. Surviving relatives are his wife of 55 years Murl Cook Faircloth; daughter, Lori Simpson (Chris); granddaughters, Brittany Simpson, Bethany Simpson, Nicole Faircloth, Lindsay McLean (Alex), and 6 great grandchildren, Lily and CJ Faircloth, Asher and Emmett McLean, and Atlas and Nova Simpson.
