Jane Johnson Wilson passed away at her home surrounded by her family Friday, September 06, 2013. She was born at home on August 21, 1939 to Curry and Julia Johnson.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Henderson Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir and taking care of the nursery. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She never missed a cattle show, baseball game or any other activities where they were involved. She was a wonderful cook and was best known for her amazing coconut pie.

Mrs. Wilson retired from Troy University in 2012 where she worked as a Human Resources employee. She loved all the people there, especially the students. She was known to always have a smile on her face and a positive attitude.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles L. Wilson; daughters Ashley Johnson (Jeffrey), Allison Cotton (Jeff) and Amanda Windham (Jon); her grandchildren are Cody Johnson, Kate Johnson, Ellie Cotton, Wilson Cotton, Anna Sims and future grandson Deacon Windham, who is expected to arrive October 12, 2013; her brother, Tony Johnson and her sisters, Annette Richburg (Ralph), Julane Key (Johnny) and Lynn Monaco (Chris). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pall bearers for the service will be Jeffrey Johnson, Jeff Cotton, Cody Johnson, Wilson Cotton, Johnny Key and Justin Monaco.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. The staff at Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wilson family.
