Jace F. Carr, age 78, a longtime resident of Troy, Alabama, died Sunday, July 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverends Bo Weed and Andrew Knick officiating. A private graveside will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Woodfin, Kyle Woodfin, Ken Owens, Gerry Bullard, Hunter Motes, and Tanner Oakes. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his parents, T. H. and Gladys Carr; and two sisters, Sue Jackson and Merle Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Annie Kate Carr; three daughters, Kathy Woodfin (Rick), Karen Peters, and Karla Park (Dennis); eight grandchildren, Tasha Rhodes (Mike), Carrmen Jordan (Justin), Abby Peters, Landon Park, Jace Colley, Tucker Park, Patrick Woodfin, and Kyle Woodfin; four great-grandchildren, Preston Rhodes, Clayton Hester, Aubree Harris, and Emma-Kate Jordan; three sisters, Merlene Owens, Edna Morrow, and Dottie Parker; two sister-in-laws, Henrietta Bullard (Glen) and Judy Sikes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund (522 South Brundidge Street, Troy, AL 36081).
