Glen Edward Bullard, a respected and hardworking member of the Troy community, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026. Born on January 24, 1938, Glen’s life was marked by dedication both to his family and his work, as well as service to his country.
Glen proudly served in the Army National Guard, exemplifying a strong commitment to duty early in life. Following his military service, he partnered with his brother Harry in farming for a number of years before dedicating over half a century—56 years—to owning and operating Bullard's Garage & Welding in Troy. His tireless work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect of his customers and peers alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Glen was a man who found joy in the simpler pleasures of life. He deeply loved his grandchildren and cherished attending Merle Haggard concerts. Leisure time often found him visiting the casino alongside his beloved wife, Henrietta Bullard, who preceded him in death. His warmth and enthusiasm for life were felt by all who knew him.
Glen’s family was central to his heart. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Angi Oakes (Jack Caradine) and Wendi Davis; his son, Gerry Bullard; and grandchildren—Hunter Motes (Amanda), Emilee Golden (Brannon), Halston Motes (Mary Katherine), Mary Michael Dunn, Trey Davis, Tanner Oakes (Alexis), and Ryder Bullard. His legacy extends to 12 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews who hold his memory dear.
He was preceded in death by his wife Henrietta; his mother, Nettie B. Bullard; his brothers, Harry Bullard and Jerry Bullard; and his sister, Mae Bullard.
The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during a visitation on May 1, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00pm with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Jack Davis, Jr., Michael Dunn, Greg Motes, David Sanders, Mark Challancin, and Brandon Oakes. Honorary pallbearers are his lifelong friends, Johnnie Ray Williams, Tommy Scarbrough, Fletcher Bozeman, Jeffrey Bennett, Robert Coleman, and Bob Arnold.
