Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Pollard; daughter-in-law, Cheryl S. Pollard; grandson, Morgan Larry Pollard; great-grandson, Shep Allen Pugh; and granddaughter-in-law, Brittany S. Pugh.

She is survived by her son, Larry James Pollard of Salem, NC; daughters, Phyllis (Joe) Wilson of the New Hope Community, and Kathy (Monte) Pugh of Troy, AL. She is also survived by six grandsons, Jamie (Kimberly) Pollard of Salem, OR, Beau Pollard (Bonnie) Wilson of Hoover, AL, Cody Nix Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Dax Pollard (Holly) Pugh, Clint (Cortnee) Pugh and Tyson (Kady) Pugh, all of Troy, AL; and great-grandchildren, Mason Marsh, Remington Pollard, Carson and Chloe Wilson, Cole, Owen, Reese, Ellen, Nix and little miss Colin James (expected in September) Pugh.

Mrs. Pollard was a devoted homemaker and talented seamstress, quilter and crafter. She loved to travel and was the co-director of Brundidge Three Arts tours for 26 years. Mrs. Pollard was also an avid scrapbooker and recorded all family events as well as travel experiences. These memorabilia provided many hours of pleasure during the last seven years as she battled the degenerative effects of Parkinson's disease. She was a dedicated Christian who emulated the characteristics of a virtuous woman as recorded in Proverbs 31. She leaves her family the legacy of a life well lived.

A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. There will be no visitation.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to caregivers Gracie Adair, Pearl Foster, Georgia Starks, Hattie Glee, Christine Carlisle, Janetta Hall and Mae Rumph. Appreciation is also expressed to Dr. Charles Linguitti and staff and Hospice Compassus.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church (217 South Main, Brundidge, AL 36010). The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Pollard family.
