Doris Ann Price Dunn, a beloved figure to many, was born in 1931, in Pike County. She departed this world on November 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to family. A private graveside service will be on Monday, November 17, 2025. Pallbearers will be Jason Reeves, John Reeves, Drew Reeves, Benji Woodham, Michael Dunn, and Chuck Dunn.
Doris was a proud graduate of Pike County High School, which served as the foundation for an industrious career that would follow. She married her devoted husband, Dewey C. Dunn, and together they ventured to St. Louis, Missouri, where they began their journey as a couple. Doris held various clerical positions, demonstrating her diligent spirit and unwavering dedication in every role she undertook. Eventually, the couple relocated to Illinois, where Doris thrived as an office supervisor before retirement, showcasing her incredible work ethic and leadership throughout her career.
Doris will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but for the kindness and warmth she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her industrious nature left a profound impact on her family and friends, and she was a source of inspiration to those striving for their own success.
She is survived by her nephew, Jim Price, and his wife Kymberley, along with numerous other nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly. Doris also leaves behind her sister-in-law, June Spivey, and an extended family who will always hold her memory close to their hearts.
Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dewey; her parents, Enoch and Verbie Price; and her dear brother, James Price, and his wife, Viola. Each of these individuals played an integral role in her life, and their memories will forever be interwoven with her own.
As we reflect on the life of Doris Ann Dunn, we honor her commitment to family, her steadfast work ethic, and her enduring kindness. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers, Carolyn Knight, Shronda Culver, Bobbie Jean Martin, and Linda Rump for their excellent attentive care, and to the staff of Day Spring Hospice, especially Amy Hixon for her kindness and concern during this time.
