Diane Anderson Jordan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home on December 19, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on November 4, 1947, Diane lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
A proud graduate of Charles Henderson High School, class of 1966, she was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where her vibrant personality and bright smile left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. For a few years, she worked at Hudson Industries, but it was her role at The Printing Press that truly defined her career. As a bookkeeper and all-round assistant, she devoted herself wholeheartedly, earning the respect and affection of her colleagues.
Diane was known fondly by her family as "Bubba," a testament to her playful spirit and deep love for those she held dear. She adored her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, taking them on vacations every summer, moments they will forever treasure in their hearts. Her generous nature and cheerful disposition brought happiness to everyone around her. She had an innate ability to light up a room with her laughter, and her boundless compassion made her a friend to many.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Jack Jordan, whose companionship brought her immeasurable joy. Together, they raised a beautiful family that includes their children, Trey Baggett (Vanda), Julie Newberry (Jason), and Jesse Jordan (Anna). Diane's legacy continues with her cherished grandchildren: Haylee Deal (Mathew), Brayden Baggett (Garrison), Brody Baggett, Emma Baggett, Sarah Mussmann (Austen), Abby Newberry, Noah Jordan (Bridgette), Elise Jordan, and Tye Thompson. She was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Stratton Baggett; and her devoted dog, Buddy.
Diane is survived by her sister, Mary Shirley (Jerry), and her brother, Ren Anderson (Stacey), who will forever hold dear the memories of their time together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Gertrude Anderson; her brother, Neal Anderson; and her beloved granddaughter, Katie Harris, whose absence leaves a poignant ache in the hearts of her family.
Services to celebrate Diane's remarkable life will be held on December 23, 2025, at Green Hills Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. The family requests everyone wear bright clothing in memory of Diane and her vibrant life.
As her family comes together to honor her memory, they are filled with gratitude for the time shared and the indelible impact she made on their lives. Diane Anderson Jordan will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
The family would like to extend their thanksgiving to her caregivers, Darlene Thomas and Sheila Wambles for their wonderful care and love in recent months. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to TARP (Troy Animal Rescue Project), PO Box 771, Troy 36081.
