Dewight Loys Banks Jr., age 21 of Brundidge, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Reynolds and Pastor Wilburn Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in the Sanfield Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dewight was an Alabama football fan, loved 4-wheelers, video games and music. He always gave a helping hand, took pride in caring for his family, was a hard worker, had a big heart, loved walking, going to the movies and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Banks; father, Dewight Banks, Sr. He is survived by his parents, William Kendall and Betty Jo Grissett; sisters, Carol Ann Banks “Sady” and Kendra Laken Grissett “Kenj”; brothers, Jeremy Banks and Roman Banks; grandparents, Bill and Betty Stewart, Amy Grace, Helen Donnelly and William Earl Grissett; Aunts, Ann Watkins, Nan Stewart, Dawn Lynch (John) and Janie Nichols (Jeremy); and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Dylan Mobley, Cade Mobley, Herbert Ward, Jeremy Banks, Roman Banks and Corey Grissett. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Hendricks and The Zion Chapel Class of 2013.
