Chuck Francisco officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Grady, Alabama, with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Dallas was the kind of fella who never met a stranger. It didn’t matter if he was in the local grocery store, 4 states away at a concert or serving fried chicken at the Tin Top Café, Dallas never missed an opportunity to strike up conversation and make a personal connection. In a way, this was one of his gifts. You see Dallas had the gift of gab, along with finding joy in the simple pleasures of life- like good music, piddlin’ with junk of all kinds, two steppin’, road trippin’  or sitting by a bonfire telling stories with friends.

He was an Air Frame and Power Plant Mechanic as well as owner and operator of Heavy D’s Firewood and HDS Property Management. Dallas was truly an old soul and lived by the words, “The world is full of good people. If you can’t find one… be one.”

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam Missildine, and grandparents May F. “Peggy” Davenport and Dewey Davenport. He is survived by his father, Robert Todd Missildine; brother, Austin Missildine; sister, Dakota Johnson (Tyler); nephews, Monroe and McCrae Johnson; grandparents, Robin & Carolyn Missildine and many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Dallas grew up around horses & enjoyed the cowboy lifestyle. He learned many life lessons as a member of the Alabama Junior Rodeo Association. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make donations in his honor via PayPal to dallasmissildinememorialfund@gmail.com or @dallasmissildinefund.  Funds will be used to award a scholarship recipient yearly with the Alabama Junior Rodeo Association.

Family and friends can sign the guest book at www.greenhillsfuneralhome.net. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Missildine family.
