Cynthia Volet Linzey

Cynthia Volet Linzey, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. A memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00-6:00pm at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Cindy, as most called her, was a good friend to so many people. She loved her work family at Troy University Radio where she worked for the past 20 years. Her greatest love was her grandchildren who she was so very proud of. Cindy was unapologetically herself and those who knew her well, loved and treasured that about her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Leonard Volet & Loureen B. Volet; and her brother, John David Volet. Loving survivors include her daughter, Michelle Copeland (Todd) and son, Jacob Linzey; her two grandchildren whom she adored, Addison Copeland and Ryan Copeland; her brother, Phil Volet (Julia); and nieces and nephews, Jody Volet, Nicole Volet, Chase Volet, and Wolff Volet; and her beloved dog, Sadie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Linzey family.
