Carol Ann Reddoch

August 28, 1944 — December 2, 2025

Troy

Carol Ann Reddoch, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at her home on December 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 28, 1944, Carol led a life full of devotion and love, deeply rooted in her faith and her strong sense of family.

A graduate of Charles Henderson High School, class of 1962, Carol furthered her education by earning an associate's degree in business shortly after graduation. Her career was complemented by her natural talents and skills developed throughout the years, but it was her family that she cherished above all.

For 63 wonderful years, she shared her life with her husband, Donald "Duck" Reddoch. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their three children: Elizabeth Reddoch Rhodes, Donna Hobbs (Keith), and Fate Reddoch (Stacey). The legacy of Carol's love continues with her grandchildren: Donald Kaleb Smith (Janie), Joshua Rhodes, Sam Hobbs, Ben Hobbs, Abby Hobbs, Robin Hobbs (Hannah), Stephen Hobbs (fiancé Ashley), Joeb Bradley, Sophia Reddoch, Magdalene Reddoch, and Ezra Reddoch. Her family tree has also extended to include great-grandchildren Shepherd Smith, Lorana Hobbs, Angelynn Hobbs, Evelyn Hobbs, Cortize Hobbs, Mia Hobbs, and Baby John Phillip Hobbs.

Carol was known for her loving nature and her dedication to caring for others. She took pride in being a devoted "Mimi," showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love and attention. Her gift for writing and storytelling shone through her heartfelt words of inspiration, touching the lives of her family and friends with every phrase she shared. Her family fondly remembers Mimi as an excellent cook who found great joy in feeding them, often preparing meals that brought everyone together. Beyond her culinary talents, she fostered a deep appreciation for farm life, where she found happiness amongst her chickens and cows.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon Sessions, as well as several nieces and nephews who hold cherished memories of her in their hearts. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Emily Shaeffer, and her granddaughter, Olivia Hobbs.

Visitation will be held on December 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
