Benjamin Andress

Benjamin Issac "Ben" Andress age 82 of Troy died Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Troy. Ben was a veteran of the United States Army and continued to be a true  patriot all of  his life. He was known as the "Flag Man" for his dedication to putting flags out in cemeteries throughout the county. He traveled extensively and never met anyone that he didn't like regardless of their race, religion or circumstances. He also had a tremendous passion for cooking and  was known for his sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Jason McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in the Banks Cemetery with military honors provided by Charlie's Angels to which Ben was a fateful member. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Survivors include; wife of 56 years, Betty Andress of Troy, daughter and son-in-law, Dottie and Jason McLeod of Banks, granddaughters, Morgan Kyzar, Rachel Kyzar and Harlee McLeod. sister, Helen Livingston, sister-in-law, Ruby Andress and a Brother-in-law, Wayne Williams.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, JW and Florence Morgan Andress and 9 brothers and 3 sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Wayne Williams, Shayne Brown, Shane Tatum, Bryce Tatum, Weston Brown, Ed Brown, Brayden Brown and Joe Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie's Angels .
