Mrs. Agnes Weaver Johnson passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.  Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10 a.m., at Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverends Wes Hatcher, Burney Enzor and Ernest Green officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mossy Grove Cemetery in Troy, AL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday night.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Myrtle Weaver, her brother, Rogers Weaver and her nephew, Johnny Weaver.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 55 years, James O. Johnson; her children Alice Kilgore (Gerald), Jeffrey Johnson (Ashley) and Thomas Johnson (Janet).

She is also survived by three brothers; Thomas Weaver (Betty), Frank Weaver and Loreze Weaver (Beverly), two sisters; Judy Baker and Martha Weaver.

Mrs. Johnson is also survived by her grandchildren Bryan Jones, Holly Adams (Casey), Cody Johnson, Colby Cryer, Kate Johnson, Mitch Johnson and Marleigh Johnson, and one great-granddaughter Maggie Alice Adams. She also has 10 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Bryan Jones, Cody Johnson, Colby Cryer and Mitch Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Northside Baptist Church and the Pike County Cattlemen and cattlewomen.

Mrs. Johnson taught school in Troy for 30 years and touched many lives. She continued to teach after retirement, volunteering at the elementary school, the Pike Pioneer Museum and the Colley Senior Complex.

She was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and children’s church. She always made learning fun and will be greatly missed.
