Christopher Clarke Patterson, age 32, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services for Mr. Patterson will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Troy, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be Tuesday afternoon at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. A memorial service honoring Mr. Patterson will be held 11:00 a.m. EST Friday, December 4, 2009 in Wilson Hall at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Mr. Patterson received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where he was also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He worked as an academic advisor and teacher at Chattahoochee Valley Community College and was a member of the Rivertown Adventure Club of Columbus.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his father and mother, Dr. Douglas Clarke Patterson and Mrs. Lise Heinrich Patterson, and two sisters, Lauren Lizbeth Patterson and Natalie Anne Patterson, all of Troy, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Chris Patterson student support fund at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
