Mr. Gillis Knotts, age 83, of Troy passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Knotts will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held at Green Hills Funeral Home Friday, March 12, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Mr. Knotts was preceded in death by his parents Cleveland and Annie Knotts, brothers Desmond Knotts, Clevonza Knotts, James Knotts, Grover Knotts, and a sister Robbie McLeod.

A life-long residence of Troy, Mr. Knotts is survived by his wife Betty Drinkard Knotts, three sons, Jeff (Karen) Knotts, Mike Knotts, and Mark (Dawn) Knotts; three sisters, Minnie Lassiter, Eunice Borland, and Ann Grammar; eight grandchildren, Brittany Knotts, Brooke Knotts, Ragan Knotts, Jessica Knotts, Katie Knotts, Amanda Knotts, Ridge Knotts and Jeffrey Knotts, II.
